@realty Ltd is a licensed real estate agency under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008. We operate the HomeValue NZ platform to help property owners understand the estimated market value of their property and connect with licensed real estate professionals.

When you use our Service, we collect:

• Contact information — your first name, last name, email address, and phone number
• Property information — the address of the property you enquire about
• Usage information — how you interact with the Service, including browser type, device information and pages visited
• Communications — any notes or messages exchanged between you and an agent through the platform

We do not collect sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act 2020.

• Provide you with a property estimate based on publicly available data
• Connect you with a licensed real estate salesperson who can provide a more detailed appraisal
• Send you your property report by email if requested

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has legal or significant effects on you.

Your information may be shared with:

• Licensed real estate salespersons — the agent whose landing page you used will receive your contact and property details so they can follow up with you
• Service providers — we use trusted third-party services to operate the platform (e.g. hosting, email delivery). These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and may only use your data to provide services to us
• Legal requirements — we may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our business or others

The property estimate provided through this Service is a computer-generated indicative estimate only. It is not a registered valuation under the Valuers Act 1948 and should not be relied upon as such. The estimate is based on publicly available data including LINZ records, REINZ sales data, and council valuation information, which may be incomplete or out of date.

For an accurate assessment of your property's value, you should obtain a registered valuation from a licensed valuer or a written appraisal from a licensed real estate agent under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008.

We use essential cookies to operate the Service. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the Service may not work correctly.

Your personal information is stored on secure servers located in the United States and/or Australia (depending on our hosting provider). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with our legal obligations, typically up to 7 years from the date of collection.

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of any inaccurate information
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal information (subject to our legal retention obligations)
• Complaint — complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you believe we have breached the Privacy Act 2020
