REA Code of Conduct compliance
The REA Code of Conduct 2012 sets out the obligations of licensed real estate professionals. Relevant rules we comply with include:
Salesperson licence requirement
Every real estate professional using the HomeValue NZ platform to generate leads and contact property owners must hold a current New Zealand real estate salesperson, branch manager, or agent licence issued by the Real Estate Authority (REA).
When setting up a HomeValue NZ profile, agents are required to enter their REA licence number. Operating as a real estate salesperson without a current licence is illegal under the REAA 2008 and may result in prosecution.
Licence numbers can be verified at any time at rea.govt.nz
